The Sheffield studio behind boxing game UNDISPUTED is moving into more than 12,000 sq ft at Steel City Stadium, the biggest letting since the Stadium opened.
In 2020, brothers Ash, Asif and Asad Habib started a games studio in Sheffield. Six years on, their boxing game UNDISPUTED has reached more than seven million players around the world, and the studio is moving to Steel City Stadium.
Steel City Interactive (SCI) has taken 12,148 sq ft at the Stadium. It’s the largest letting the Stadium has seen since it opened in 2022, and the largest out of town office deal in Sheffield since 2024.
The studio will take the whole of the second floor and part of the first, moving from its current base at Forge House on Carbrook Hall Road to give its growing team more room.
For Ash, it’s a homecoming of sorts.
Ash Habib, Founder and CEO at Steel City Interactive, said:
“As someone who grew up in the immediate area, I could not be prouder to make Steel City Stadium the home of UNDISPUTED. Having witnessed the incredible regeneration of the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, it’s fantastic to see how the area has been transformed into a place that inspires creativity and innovation. It provides the perfect setting for Steel City Interactive as we continue our vision to set the benchmark for authenticity, artistry, and evolution in interactive sports.”
The new tenant suits the site’s history too. A studio named after Sheffield’s industrial past is moving onto the former Brown Bayley’s Steel Works, where Harry Brearley, the pioneer of stainless steel, once worked. The Stadium was renamed in 2025 in tribute to that history.
Scott McCabe, Director at SGI, said:
“Steel City Interactive is exactly the kind of business we hoped Steel City Stadium would attract when we built it. Three brothers started it here in Sheffield and it’s now known by boxing fans all over the world. It’s only right that a company carrying the city’s name should make its home on the site of one of its great steelworks. We couldn’t have asked for a more fitting tenant.”
It’s been a busy autumn at the Stadium. Only last month, Stadium Workspace reached full occupancy when Computacenter, Medaco and WWCS moved in. To make room for SCI, we're now building new workspace on the ground floor, so some existing occupiers can move down from the first floor.
Ian Sanderson, Estates and Development Consultant for SGI and owner of SLR Group, added:
“Out of town office deals in Sheffield are typically well under 10,000 sq ft, so for one of the city’s fastest growing creative companies to commit to more than 12,000 sq ft says a great deal about the Stadium and the wider Park as a business destination.”
UNDISPUTED launched in October 2024 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a roster of licensed fighters that includes Tyson Fury, Oleksandr Usyk, Canelo Álvarez and Katie Taylor. SCI opened a second studio in Leamington Spa in 2025 and now employs 100 people.
SCI joins more than 40 organisations already based at the Stadium, including Medilink, Ice Hockey UK, UK NEQAS and Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA. Alongside its offices, the Stadium has a professional 3G pitch, a 2,044-capacity grandstand, and meeting and event space.
Coworking desks and virtual office packages are still available at Stadium Workspace. To find out more or arrange a visit, contact Daniel Kirby on 0114 499 0060 or daniel@steelcitystadium.com.
