A new occupier is coming to The Springs Leeds, adding more food and beverage amenity to the award-winning retail and leisure destination located at the heart of our flagship Thorpe Park Leeds project.
Expanding café and bar group, Loungers Plc, has agreed a straight 15-year lease to take occupation of a 4,080 sq ft unit adjacent to Nando’s and ODEON Luxe Cinema at The Springs.
Loungers is a chain of neighbourhood cafe/bars combining elements of a restaurant, British pub and coffee shop culture. With over 200 Lounges nationwide, the award-winning business has plans to open around 30 further venues across the UK during its next financial year. The Springs will become its second venue in Yorkshire.
Although consistent with the Loungers brand, each venue is unique to its site and local area. Caballero Lounge at The Springs is to offer a home-from-home setting, serving a wide range of food and drinks all day in a relaxed environment. It will cater for all with a selection of games, books, toys and menus for Little Loungers. The dog friendly venue is due to open on 22nd February 2023 and will create 27 new jobs.

The introduction of a new café-bar, sitting alongside the cinema and existing food and beverage outlets, will widen the audience appeal and catchment with reason to spend more time at The Springs. This is further supported by the forthcoming new railway station on site that will provide direct access from the likes of York and Garforth and also from Leeds City Centre in just eight minutes.”
The announcement follows just a few months after the UK’s largest homewares retailer, Dunelm opened a prominent 18,362 sq ft sales store at The Springs Leeds. Other recent openings include Betty Loves Candles and Elan Laser Clinics, and deals are progressing for further food and beverage attractions.
The Springs is a 350,000 sq ft shopping and leisure attraction located at the heart of award-winning business destination, Thorpe Park Leeds at Junction 46 of the M1. Outlets include Next, Boots, M&S, TK Maxx, The Range, H&M, Pure Gym, Nandos, and many more.
Because of its unique and highly modern environment, The Springs has been used as a springboard for new concepts by other operators. These include the UK’s first purpose designed ODEON Luxe cinema, the joint venture between Next and Piccolo by Piccolino, a new concept store for The Range, Vitruvian dental practice and the recently opened Elan Laser Clinic as its first venture in the UK.
