We are delighted to announce the appointment of Rachel Vickers as Senior Commercial Manager within our property team following the promotion of Adam Varley to Development Director, making her the Group’s seventh new recruit in the last 12 months.
Rachel joins at an exciting time for us, as we forge ahead with our rapidly-expanding portfolio of regeneration and investment projects, which includes Thorpe Park Leeds; a 3.25m sq ft mixed-use community, Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park; a new sports, health and wellbeing-focused life sciences park, Middlewood Locks; a 24.5-acre mixed-use neighbourhood in Salford, and Queensferry One; a 120-acre industrial and logistics development site in Rosyth.

Commenting on her appointment, Rachel said:
“I’ve long-had huge respect for Scarborough Group, so to have the opportunity to join the team at such an exciting time was an opportunity I couldn’t refuse.
“I’m looking forward to playing a key role in realising the full potential of so many large-scale development and investment projects and proactively help drive forward SGI’s future growth aspirations.”
In a year when many developers downed tools, the Group have demonstrated our unwavering commitment to becoming the most active developer across the Northern Powerhouse through our ‘Keep Building’ ethos, which saw it press ahead with over 300,000 sq ft of new projects at Thorpe Park Leeds, Sheffield Digital Campus and Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park.
Simon McCabe, Chief Executive, added:
“We are delighted to welcome Rachel to our rapidly-expanding team as we continue to press ahead with our ambitious growth plans.
“We currently have a number of major projects at planning or construction stage which will be looking to launch to the market in the very near future and Rachel’s infectious drive and enthusiasm will prove an invaluable part of this process.”
